The Chronicle from 1991-2000

1990/91 The 1st team gives itself and the section the greatest gift for the 25th anniversary. It wins the championship in the 1st district league and, after 5 years of abstinence, is once again promoted to the Landesliga. The “old warhorses” Eder, Pinsker, Reinelt and Drexler, together with the “new Pfarrkircheners” Ali Schwentner and Gerhard Günther, achieved this magnificent success. At the general assembly in April 91 a new board was elected. With Hans Strasser, it has a long-serving and successful active player at its head.

1991/92 The 1st men’s team (Schwentner, Kadic, Günther, Eder, Pinsker and Reinelt) holds a good mid-table place in the Landesliga. The women’s team drops out of the 1st district league. Martina Erhardsberger and Barbara Bloch each become triple Lower Bavarian youth champions. The 1st girls’ team achieves promotion to the Bayernliga Süd.

1992/93 The “First” holds, albeit with a lot of luck, the Landesliga (Schwentner, Günther, Eder, Pinsker, Gründmayer, Kirschner). Peter Pinsker ends his career. Erhardsberger returns from the Bavarian youth championship as title holder in the girls’ doubles. The Bayernliga girls finish the season in 6th place. At the Bavarian cup championship, Bloch, Erhardsberger and Andrea Schachinger take 3rd place.

1993/94 The Landesliga team (Schwentner, Günther, Gründmayer, Kirschner, Eder, Drexler) again manages to stay in the class with a lot of luck, but at times threatens to fall apart. The 2nd men’s team is promoted to the 2nd district league, the “Third” as the surprise team of the season to the 3rd district league. Despite a considerable drain, the Bayernliga girls finish the season in seventh place. High expectations for the new season at the “First” through the new signings Jürgen Köberl and Thomas Jakob, who previously played for TSV 1860 Mühldorf in the Bayernliga.

1991/92 In its first Landesliga season, the 1st team achieves an outstanding 6th place straight away and thereby stays in the class. The 2nd team is promoted to the 2nd district league.

1992/93 The 11-year-old Martina Erhardsberger wins the South Bavaria tournament. The 1st girls’ team is promoted to the highest league, the Bayernliga. And on 20 June 1993 the South Bavarian ranking tournament took place in Pfarrkirchen.

1993 to 1995 Thomas Jakob and Jürgen Köberl strengthen the 1st team in the Landesliga.
After the previous season’s relegation, the 2nd men’s team achieves immediate promotion back to the 2nd district league.
The girls of the 1st team show outstanding performances in the Bayernliga and, after leading the table at times, finish the 94/95 season in 3rd place.
In October 1994 the South German ranking tournament of the 12 best women and men takes place in Pfarrkirchen.
Hans Strasser is once again elected section leader at the 1995 general assembly and continues the section’s so successful work.
At the end of the 1994/95 season comes the sporting highlight of the section: the 1st team is promoted to the Bayernliga.

1995/96 Despite a good start in the Bayernliga, the 1st team is relegated back to the Landesliga at the end of the season. The girls’ team becomes “runner-up” of the Bayernliga after leading the table at times. Unfortunately, after this notable success the girls go their separate ways.

08.10.1996 European League international match Germany-Austria in the triple hall in Pfarrkirchen. Around 800 spectators experience a high-class international match. The stars Jörg Rosskopf, Peter Franz and co. show gripping matches against the Austrian stars. 50 helpers of the section, above all Hans Strasser and Norbert Reinelt, make this gripping top-level sport possible in Pfarrkirchen.

1996/97 The 1st team becomes champion of the Landesliga undefeated and thereby achieves immediate promotion back to the Bayernliga.

1997/98 Tobias Erhardsberger, one of the greatest talents in Bavaria, strengthens the TuS team, and after promotion the 1st team achieves an outstanding 4th place in the Bayernliga.

1998/99 Holger Riedl becomes the TuS’s new top player. The Bayernliga team can dream of promotion to the Oberliga until the end of the season, but narrowly fails in the end. Alois Brunner becomes the new section leader and replaces the previous “boss” Hans Strasser. Rainer Bloch becomes the new youth leader.

1999/2000 The first team achieves 4th place in the Bayernliga. The 1st boys’ team is promoted to the district league.
