Pfarrkirchen. At its traditional Christmas and year-end party at the Gasthof Schachtl, the table tennis section of TuS 1860 Pfarrkirchen both looked back on the season so far and held the award ceremonies for the 2019 club championships – the thanks of the committee went to all players, officials and friends of the TT section. Section head Wilhelm Kolb warmly welcomed the “table tennis family” – among the large gathering of 43 active members, partners, youngsters and children he welcomed as guests of honour TuS chairman Horst Lackner and the patron of the club championships, town councillor Kurt Vallée. Kolb thanked everyone committed to the sport, to the committee and to sociability for their dedication and support: Peter Wolfrum (team captain of Men I and Boys III, secretary), Walter Fischer (captain of Men II and Boys I, youth coach), Felix Moschenski (captain of Men III and Boys II, deputy youth leader), youth coach Andrea Secerov, deputy chair Beate Brandl, youth leader Simon Wasmeier, treasurer Marion Fuchs (membership administration), Reinhard Kroll (season reports) and Wigbert Bichlmeier (catering at sports events). TuS chairman Horst Lackner expressed thanks and appreciation to all those responsible and the helpers – voluntary commitment is no longer something to be taken for granted and is so important today, especially in the youth area. His appreciation went to the active players for their sporting commitment. That we can live and play sport under such good conditions and celebrate together in such a lovely setting is something everyone should also be grateful for, the chairman made clear. Town councillor Kurt Vallée, as patron of the club championships, was delighted with the large and colourfully mixed festive gathering, in which all age groups were united – he was always happy to take on this role, he stressed, in view of the good table tennis community within TuS and the members who had again come together here for a joint celebration. Vallée thanked the committee and everyone who helps in the TT section – having reliable people in voluntary roles is essential. Section head Wilhelm Kolb summarised the 2019/20 first half of the season for the men’s teams (BTTV Lower Bavaria-East) based on Reinhard Kroll’s report, also with a look ahead: The “First” (Marvin Fischer, Elias Hölzl, Marius Jarzombski, captain Peter Wolfrum) currently holds only the third-from-last, 8th place in the district class A Gr. 4 Rottal because of the line-up situation, but has safe positions in its sights thanks to its potential and improving form. As so often in recent years, Armin Siebengartner played in two teams; although he belongs to the regular line-up of the “Second,” he was even the only player to contest all nine matches of the 1st team – “heartfelt thanks for this great commitment,” the section head stressed. In the district class B Gr. 7 Rottal, the 2nd team (Armin Siebengartner, Simon Hölzl, captain Walter Fischer, Heinrich Sparwasser) played excellently and sits in 3rd place, level on points with the runner-up, Pocking II – given the other strong teams, that was by no means to be expected. Whether things continue successfully in the second half of the season depends very much on how often Armin Siebengartner can be fielded, as he will again be playing in the “First.” The “Third” holds the third-from-last, 9th place in the district class C Gr. 7 Rottal, though with a view upwards. Based on its potential more would have been possible, but ten players were fielded, so that no regular line-up formed – the “quasi-regulars”: Lenny Fischer, Reinhard Kroll, Jonas Lindinger and captain Felix Moschenski, who contested all nine matches – also involved: Daniel Moschenski and Simon Wasmeier, among others. In the second half of the season, one success or another can and will be achieved again. For the youth, Walter Fischer (coach and captain of Boys I) drew up a review: The newly formed Boys team I (Lenny Fischer, Daniel Moschenski, Josef Klemmeier, Moreno Kühn) is wintering in the top district league Group 2 South (BTTV Lower Bavaria) as “autumn champions”; in the league ranking of “top records,” Lenny Fischer fought his way to 1st place, Daniel Moschenski to 3rd place, and Josef Klemmeier and Moreno Kühn reached 6th and 7th place; in the doubles “top”: Lenny Fischer and Daniel Moschenski. Now it is about holding one’s own in the “championship round.” The 2nd Boys team (Markus Maier, Leon Hausruckinger, David Secerov, Oliver Szalontai) goes into the second half of the season from 5th place in the district league Gr. 1 South with a view upwards – as does the 3rd Boys team (Arthur Sparwasser, Erika Secerov, Felix Scheiblhuber, Lars Keller) in the district class B Gr. 1. TuS chairman Horst Lackner and patron Kurt Vallée, together with deputy section head Beate Brandl, conducted the award ceremony for the highly exciting and very “closely” decided club championship (men) – as they presented the trophies, medals and certificates, they congratulated on the success: the new club champion Marius Jarzombski as well as Peter Wolfrum (2nd place) and Heinrich Sparwasser (3rd place), and further the doubles winners Walter Fischer/Lenny Fischer and the runners-up Marius Jarzombski/Simon Wasmeier. The guests of honour, together with youth leader Simon Wasmeier, conducted the award ceremony for the youth club championship: Lenny Fischer once again received the winner’s trophy, Josef Klemmeier (2nd place) and Markus Maier (3rd place) received medals; every participant received a certificate. Section head Wilhelm Kolb also congratulated everyone, expressing his appreciation for their dedication and achievements. Deputy section head Beate Brandl and Marion Fuchs (membership administration) presented a gift as a token of thanks to everyone who had helped with the match programme and the club events (such as “Bowling for the whole family,” catering stands at the WEKO/TuS half marathon and the Sparkasse Table Tennis Open, the summer party, the mini-championship, the club championships and the Christmas party). Atmospheric songs, put together by Christmas DJ Simon Wasmeier, framed the programme and the menu; Christmas carols were sung together; Marion Fuchs enriched the celebration with two lovely Christmas stories. Section head Wilhelm Kolb and the guests of honour wished the members and their families a Merry Christmas, much luck and good health in the new year, and the teams every success.
