Games and fun are the order of the day when the table tennis section of TuS 1860 Pfarrkirchen invites children up to 12 years on Wednesday, 20 November, from 2:00 p.m. to the “TT mini-championships” in the Alexi hall (primary school). The participating girls and boys can look forward not only to a great experience, but also to certificates and small prizes. So: join in, have fun, win!
The best in the age group up to 12 years can qualify through the further tournaments up to the final round of the Bavarian Table Tennis Association. Anyone who is ten years old or younger can even earn a place at the 2020 national final; the best “minis,” accompanied by a parent, are then guests of the German Table Tennis Association; the winners of the national final can also look forward to a visit to a major international table tennis event. First of all, it is now about taking part in the local qualifier: at the “mini-championships” on 20 November 2019 (Repentance Day), this can be done by all girls and boys up to 12 years (born 2007 and later) who do not yet hold, and have never held, an official table tennis playing licence and who have also not yet taken part in the official match programme of the DTTB or its regional associations.
The Alexi sports hall is open from 1:00 p.m. – the registration deadline is 1:30 p.m. and things get going at 2:00 p.m.! Please bring: indoor sports shoes (light sole), sportswear and a TT bat (if available); anyone who wants to try it for the first time will get a loan bat. Every participant receives a prize. Trophies, medals and small prizes are donated by VR-Bank Rottal-Inn. The four best of all age classes (born 2007/08, 2009/10, 2011 and later) qualify for the district qualifier in spring 2020.
Youth coach Andrea Secerov and youth leader Simon Wasmeier are already looking forward to many participants. So: “Join in!”
