Pfarrkirchen. At the table tennis section of TuS 1860 Pfarrkirchen, “fun for the whole family” is now the order of the day on “Father’s Day” – and bowling on the lanes in the basement of the Stadthallen-Restaurant “Steakhouse” is enjoying growing popularity. A big ball then instead of a small one, “rolling” instead of smashing, or roughly “going for the full house” instead of topspin or slice. The bowling session was great fun for everyone, for the youngsters as well as the adults. It was exciting too – whether between drawn groups, U-40 against O-40 or “boys against girls,” until, after a course that repeatedly ended in a tie, it was decided in a play-off round which of the two teams could each celebrate victory. A very successful event, on which the 22 “bowling brothers and sisters” ultimately agree. One might even bowl for an “unofficial Good-Wood Trophy” of the table tennis section!
