Pfarrkirchen. At the local round of the “mini championships”, hosted by the TT section of TuS 1860 Pfarrkirchen in the Alexi hall, the children really enjoyed playing table tennis and the competition. Youth leader Hannah Mayerhofer welcomed the six boys, wished them lots of enjoyment and exciting matches – nice that parents and grandparents were there, who were not stingy with applause for the effort. Here and there one talent or another flashed up, shining with fine performance. In the end every participant received a certificate, for the first places also a trophy, and everyone received a gift – donated by the local VR-Bank, represented by authorised officer Markus Wörn (team leader of the private customer department), who had seen “captivating matches and much fun by the boys at table tennis”. Together with authorised officer Wörn, youth leader Hannah Mayerhofer conducted the awards ceremony to great applause: born 2006 and 2007: 1) Manuel Enggruber, 2) Simon Wimmer, 3) Paul Wallner, 4) Raphael Fahmüller; born 2008 and 2009: 1) Leopold Rau, 2) Daniel Moschenski. They are all qualified for the district round in March 2019. “Table tennis brings joy, demands and develops both skill and concentration – it would now be pleasing if the participants came back and, ideally, brought a friend along,” Markus Wörn motivated the boys. In this spirit he wished the TT section of TuS young talent and success. Youth leader Hannah Mayerhofer thanked the boys for taking part and for their competitive spirit – the table tennis section is always glad about motivated young talent, she stressed, and immediately introduced coach Andrea Secerov. The youth leader expressed her heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to the successful running of the “mini championships”: the VR-Bank for trophies and prizes, Reinhard Kroll for the tournament management, and further deputy youth leader Felix Moschenski as well as the youth players Daniel Moschenski, Lenny Fischer, and Leon Hausruckinger, who acted as scorers. The thanks of TT section head Wilhelm Kolb go to all those involved, “because every child who is interested in our table tennis sport is important to us”. And: in the children’s and youth training every Wednesday, 5:00 to 6:45 pm, everyone is warmly welcome.
