Pfarrkirchen. This pleasing runner-up finish of the TT youth lets one expect quite a bit more for the future: the boys’ team (I) of the table tennis section of TuS 1860 Pfarrkirchen, in the line-up Marvin Fischer, Elias Hölzl, Heinrich Sparwasser and Lenny Fischer, finished the 2017/18 season of the 1st district league (BTTV Lower Bavaria) in second place with 18:6 points. The “first team”, supervised by team captain and youth coach Walter Fischer, was no longer able to come dangerously close to champions SV Kirchberg i. Wald (23:1) but kept third-placed DJK SB Landshut (15:9) at a distance, so that players and team captain are very satisfied with the fine end to the season; especially as Marvin Fischer and Elias Hölzl take first place in the doubles ranking of the 1st boys’ district league (9:0 record) out of 15 doubles – only pairings with at least four appearances and four doubles played are listed there; the doubles Lenny Fischer/Heinrich Sparwasser stand in the middle of the ranking with a balanced record. In the players’ ranking of the league, in which only players with at least three appearances and five singles played are listed, 32 players in total, Elias Hölzl fought his way to fourth place, Marvin Fischer to sixth; Lenny Fischer reached ninth place, Heinrich Sparwasser 15th. Team captain Walter Fischer, youth leader Hannah Mayerhofer and section head Wilhelm Kolb congratulate the boys on the strong season performance and the runner-up finish!
A doubly fine end to the season for the team of the TT section of TuS 1860 Pfarrkirchen in the 1st boys’ district league: a clear away win against TTC Fortuna Passau and the runner-up finish: (from left) Elias Hölzl, Marvin Fischer, team captain Walter Fischer, Lenny Fischer and Heinrich Sparwasser then also duly celebrated it.
