Join in – and win at the “mini championship”!
Pfarrkirchen. The table tennis section of TuS 1860 Pfarrkirchen is hosting the local “TT mini championships” for children up to 12 years on Wednesday, 22 November, from 1:00 pm in the Alexi gymnasium (primary school) – so: join in, have fun, win!
These “mini championships” are a nationwide youth campaign of the German Table Tennis Association, in which in 2017/18 too thousands of table tennis beginners compete for titles and placings – the best will be able to qualify for the national final next June in Trier.
First of all, the point now is to take part in the local round here! All girls and boys born in 2005 and younger who do not yet have and have never had an official playing licence for table tennis and who have also not yet taken part in the official competition of the DTTB or its regional associations can take part in these “mini championships” on 22 November (Repentance and Prayer Day).
The Alexi gymnasium is open from 1:00 pm, registration closes at 1:30 pm – and at 2:00 pm it starts! Please bring indoor sports shoes (light sole), sportswear and a TT bat. Every participant gets a prize. The four best of all age groups of this first round of the TT mini championships qualify for the district round, which will take place in March 2018.
The children born in 2005 and 2006 play in age group I (goes up to the association round). The children born in 2007 and 2008 form age group II and can make it up to the national final. Children born in 2009 and younger play in Bavaria up to the association round in their own age group III (at least four participants) and can reach the national final. Qualification for the national round takes place at the association round in a decider between the winners of age groups II and III.
