Pfarrkirchen. The table tennis department of TuS Pfarrkirchen looks back on an extremely successful 2011/12 season, as there are four championships to celebrate – three titles were won by the men’s teams, one by the youth.
The 1st team remained unbeaten in the 1st District League with 33:3 points and won the title, as it had already in the district cup, ahead of the young team of SF Zeilarn. Team captain Rudi Sussmann once again relied on his experienced players Manfred Schille, Marius Jarzombski, Peter Wolfrum and Uwe Neubauer. In the first half of the season, however, it was also possible to integrate a young player, Phuc Pham Minh, into the team. In the individual records, Manfred Schille stands out with only one defeat, i.e. 20:1 wins. But Rudi Sussmann (31:11) and Marius Jarzombski (26:12) are also among the best in this league.
In the 3rd District League South, the 2nd team secured the not necessarily expected championship practically with the last match and ultimately 28:8 points, narrowly ahead of Rotthalmünster II and Bad Griesbach II. Due to injuries and illnesses, Erwin Wimmer as team captain had to constantly rebuild the team, so that it was hard to find a rhythm. The regular players in action were: Reinhard Kroll with the likewise almost flawless individual record of 26:1 wins, “ever-present” Armin Siebengartner with a good record of 25:13 wins and the seasoned Helmut Köstler (13:10). In the first half of the season, Albert Gschwandtner also impressed with 10:1 successes (however, he was out for the entire second half of the season); Georg Romeis also drew attention with 8:3 wins. Other players, each with a few appearances, also contributed to the team’s success!
The “third team” confidently claimed the championship in the 4th District League North with 28:4 points. After certain difficulties at the start in the first half of the season, the team did not give up a single point in the second half! The backbone of the team was formed by the very successful players Armin Siebengartner, who recorded the best record in the league with 35:3 wins, team captain Martin Schneider with 25:8 wins and Christian Jagdhuber (20:9). In addition, several other players, including youth players such as Matthias Kolb and Johannes Apfel, were used and were also able to impress.
In the 4th District League South, the 4th team acquitted itself well – it was enough for a good 5th place in the table. Alongside the already young “regular line-up” – team captain Christian Hölzlwimmer, Andreas Maier and Markus Jagdhuber as well as Christian Reitberger – youth players such as Johannes Apfel, Albin Abdulahu and Hannah Mayerhofer came into play here.
The three championship-winning men’s teams thus have the opportunity to each move up to the next league. In the 1st District League (boys), the Pfarrkirchen III team – Hannah Mayerhofer, Max Grabow, Jonas Lindinger, Patrick Buchinger and Tobias Rieß – sensationally won (as we reported), namely surprisingly and unbeaten, with 11:1 points ahead of Geratskirchen, the championship title.

Pfarrkirchen. Our 3rd boys’ team entered the second half of the season in the 1st District League as an underdog – and finished the season as champions without a single defeat!
After promotion in the autumn from the 2nd District League, which Pfarrkirchen III had finished as runner-up behind TSV Simbach/Inn, the boys entered the 1st District League as clear underdogs. But already on the 1st matchday the team surprised with a win in the TuS-internal duel against the 2nd boys’ team. Through cohesive team performances and good togetherness, the following matches were also won. Only against TSV Simbach/Inn did the match end in a draw. So our youth “third team” became champions already one matchday before the end of the season, sensationally and unbeaten with 11:1 points! At a cosy evening at the Pizzeria Il Cavallino, the team celebrated the championship with supervisor Marion Fuchs.
