(pjd). With 35 participants from nine clubs of the Rottal playing district, the 2nd district ranking tournament for the table tennis youth in the Pfarrkirchen primary school gymnasium at the Alexiberg was surprisingly strongly attended.
On six tables, under the direction of district youth officer Peter J. Doll (Bad Griesbach) and youth leader Karin Stemplinger, the aim here was to determine the winners and top-placed players, but also all placings, with a mammoth match programme of almost 150 matches. Ultimately it was about the qualifications for the 2nd district area tournament of the youth on 28.3.2010 in Aicha, that of the Under-13 B on the same date in Eging am See, as well as the 2nd district area tournament of the Under-15 A on 16.5.2010 in Teisnach.
The respective top three of each competition achieved this goal. In the awarding of titles, SV Geratskirchen was successful twice with Michael Schechtl (Under-15 A), who did not drop a single set in the entire tournament, and Florian Scheibl (Under-13 B), as well as once TuS Pfarrkirchen with the commanding youth winner Sebastian Angloher.
