Pfarrkirchen. On Saturday, 15 May, the time has come: Germany’s only mobile table tennis equipment room is coming to Pfarrkirchen as part of the 150th anniversary of TuS, namely to the Alexi gymnasium (primary school) – the table tennis department of TuS is hosting this activity day. Supported by volunteer helpers of the TT department, the “taster mobile” of the German Table Tennis Association (DTTB) opens its doors – the extensive table tennis equipment is available in the gymnasium from 10:00 to 16:00!
DTTB employee Alexander Murek, who also holds a B-coach licence, is travelling around Germany with the “taster mobile sponsored by Butterfly” to present his sport: “With its taster mobile, the German Table Tennis Association wants to present the whole range of the sport of table tennis, combined with a high fun factor for all age and performance classes.”
And the fun factor will certainly not be neglected with the taster mobile’s materials: tables, bats and balls in all sizes and shapes invite people to give it a try. For example, at a mini or midi table with mini bats one can try to get a ball the size of a tennis ball onto the playing surface.
For players with higher ambitions there are of course also normal-sized tables ready for exciting matches. Anyone who wants to work on their technique can do so at a table tennis robot, which feeds the balls with adjustable speed, spin and placement precisely to the spot. For the kids there is also a special hands-on activity: they can earn the table tennis sports badge at six stations.
