Pfarrkirchen. With the club championship and the Christmas party, the table tennis youth of the TT department of TuS 1860 Pfarrkirchen concluded this year both on the sporting side and in convivial company.
Exciting matches characterised the club championship in the Alexi gymnasium under the tournament direction of Elena Sussmann and Markus Hauzenberger, who were supported by Hannah Mayerhofer and Markus Jagdhuber, from the first to the last set. After all, everyone wants to show what they can do in the internal duel – and besides, there are not only titles but also medals and trophies to be won.
At the Christmas party at the Gasthof Schachtl, youth leader Karin Stemplinger welcomed, in the large gathering of a good 30 children and young people, both her team as well as department head Wilhelm Kolb and the long-standing patron of the club championship, Herbert Horak, whom she thanked warmly straight away for the donation he once again made to the youth.
Karin Stemplinger thanked all the youth coaches and supervisors – Beate Brandl, Marion Fuchs, Elena Sussmann, Markus Hauzenberger, Markus Jagdhuber and Felix Moshenskyy – for their training work and leadership of the teams, as well as the young people who helped out. Department head Wilhelm Kolb expressed his thanks to the youth leader and her team for their dedicated commitment – his recognition went to the young table tennis players for their sporting achievements. For the second half of the current season he wished everyone good luck and success. Patron Herbert Horak was delighted at the large turnout for the club championship and Christmas party – his recognition went to the entire youth team for their successful development work, and his thanks also to the parents for supporting their children’s sporting ambitions.
In her review, youth leader Karin Stemplinger addressed both the teams – Youth I in the 1st District League, Youth II to V in the district leagues – as well as individual events and special successes: among other things, she highlighted the hosting of the district individual championships with 48 participants, as well as Mario Pfannenstein’s very good showing at the district individual championship (3rd place in singles, 1st place in doubles) with qualification for the state championship, as well as the victory of the tournament team Apfel Johannes/Pfannenstein Mario/Moschenskyy Vlady/Lindinger Jonas at the district team championship (qualification for the “Lower Bavarian” championship).
The well-informed Santa Claus (Martin Hofer) had plenty of praise to hand out for great performances before distributing the gifts, but also had to humorously issue a few admonitions and words of encouragement, for example regarding better concentration or attitude during training or in competition. The knowledgeable saint received much applause from everyone, because firstly some of them know where things still fall short and secondly the sack was opened.
The awards ceremony was conducted by Karin Stemplinger and Beate Brandl amid loud applause from the gathering:
Doubles: 1st place Vlady Moshenskyy and Maxi Espertshuber – ahead of Albin Abdulahu/Christian Stiegler and Pham Minh Phuc/Johannes Mika.
Under-13 B: 1st place Maxi Espertshuber – 2nd place Jonas Lindinger, 3rd place Andreas Rickinger.
Under-15 A: 1st place Simon Wasmeier – 2nd place Pham Minh Chau, 2nd place Johannes Apfel.
Youth: In 1st place Sebastian Angloher, who prevailed confidently in the main round and dropped only one set in five matches – 2nd place Pham Minh Phuc, 3rd place Matthias Kolb.
Chairman Wilhelm Kolb and youth leader Karin Stemplinger wished all friends and supporters of table tennis and the TT youth, as well as all members of the department, a blessed Christmas and much happiness in every respect in the new year.
